| As a business grows and expands, it is
important to maintain data connectivity to ensure the continuity of
the business. This can sometimes mean that two geographically disparate
locations must somehow be able to share information electronically.
At the same time, it is also important to maintain data security while
the information is being transfered. This provides a challenge for

FreeS/WAN uses encryption technologies to protect data transferred
between locations over the publicly accessible networks that comprise
the Internet. This use of existing networks eliminates the high cost
of establishing a private network between locations.  Alternatively,
VPN technology can be used to provide users remote access to business
resources. Users can log in from any location and use file/print,
web, and other resources. BIOS Technologies uses the Open Source
application PoPToP
to provide this functionality. PoPToP utilizes encryption technology
to ensure data security while providing traveling or remote users
